Friday Favorites

Wait.  Hold up.  Thanksgiving is next week?  Wait.  That means that in one week from today I’ll be putting up the Christmas Tree?!  Cue the music.  It’s the hap-happiest season of all!  I’m officially giddy.

Another reason to be giddy: it’s the weekend.  Tonight we’re going out for dinner with another couple, which means Quinn gets to have an adventure with the babysitter.  Why do I get anxious every time I leave her?  I know she’ll be just fine; in fact, when I told her she gets to hang out Karyl tonight she clapped and said “YAY!”

PicMonkey CollageCan you blame me for not wanting to leave her?  Seriously, look at that face.  She’s just the cutest 🙂

The fun will continue tomorrow with football Saturday.  We’re having a couple of friends over & Josh is smoking some ribs.  Football food is the best and you can’t go wrong with smoked meat!

Alrighty, time to get this party started.  I hope you all have a fabulous day!  Let’s get the weekend started properly with Friday Favorites!

Favorite Side: Loaded Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes.  Loaded with goodness.  (Question: it’s completely acceptable to make both sweet potatoes and regular mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving, right? You can never have too many potatoes, in my opinion.)

Favorite Thanksgiving Decor: The Thankful Tree.  It’s more than pretty, it’s a great way to share what you are thankful for.

Favorite Breakfast: Cranberry Orange Sweet Rolls.  The perfect easy breakfast for Thanksgiving morning.

Favorite Pumpkin Project: Thankful Pumpkin.  Wouldn’t this be a lovely tradition to have?  We didn’t carve our Halloween pumpkins, so we could easily do this.

Favorite Pumpkin: Pumpkin Layer Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.  I’m thankful for this beautiful cake.

Favorite TV: ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas!  Get ready DVR, you’re about to be jam-packed with Christmas movies!!!

Favorite Bread: Easy Olive Pull-Apart Bread.  Incredibly easy and they look amazing!

Favorite Chalkboard Project: Chalkboard Tray.  So simple.  It’d be a great way to display a holiday menu!  Also, be sure to check out the link, there are 3 other craft ideas for a Pinterest Party.  And Pinterest Parties are the best.

Favorite SquarshRoasted Acorn Squash Stuffed with Farro and Bacon.  Gorgeous.  And a nice alternative to traditional Thanksgiving side dishes.

Favorite PurseBlushing Tomato Purses.  I bought a purse from Blushing Tomato at a craft fair in Spearfish, SD a few years ago and have received a TON of compliments on it.  Might be time to add another purse to the collection!

Favorite Apple: Apple and Dulce de Leche Puffs.  Don’t these look divine?

Favorite Vase: DIY Gold Leaf Vase.  I just love gold accent pieces this time of year!

Favorite Appetizer: Cranberry, Brie, and Proscuitto Crostini with Balsamic Glaze.  I am head over heals for this appetizer.  It is simply stunning!
