Friday Favorites

I’ll be home for Christmas.  Today is the day that Josh and I head home for the holidays!  We’ll spend the weekend with my family and then the next few days with Josh’s family.  I’m so excited!  This time of year is my favorite.  Living away from our families can be tough, but that just means coming home for holidays is an even more joyous occasion.

I will wish you all a happy week and Merry Christmas!  I hope you can all be surrounded by people you love while being reminded of the blessings in your life and how you can be a blessing to those around you.  With that, please enjoy this jolly edition of my Friday Favorites!

Favorite Decorated Goodie: Christmas Marshmallow Pops.  The kids in your family would have fun decorating these!  Or the adults, because who says we can’t have fun too.

Favorite Dinner Table Decor: Small stockings used for holding silverware.  A simple way to jazz up the holiday table.

Favorite Breakfast: Sticky Toffee Monkey Bread.  Yes.  Yes.  Yes.

Favorite Photo Tips: Indoor Holiday Photo Tips.  One of my goals for the coming year is to majorly improve my photography skills.  Why not give it a head-start at Christmas?

Favorite Brownies: Hot Cocoa Brownies.  These look melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

Favorite Easy DIY Gift: Homemade Popcorn Holiday Gift Set.  Fiesta, Chocolate, & Gingerbread spice mixes paired with popcorn seeds and a big bowl would make a fun gift for the popcorn lover in your family (don’t we all have one of those?).

Favorite Cookies: Red Velvet Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting.  Santa ain’t getting his hands on these cookies, they’re all mine!

Favorite Fashion Tip: 10 Ways to Wear Ankle Boots.  I am embarrassed to say that I own 3 pairs of ankle booties and was never been completely sure how to wear them.  Now I know.

Favorite Soup: Sweet Potato, Kale, & Corn Chowder.  My family’s Christmas dinner tradition is eating soup; I’m excited to see what kinds we’re having this year!  The best part is, you can eat 5 bowls of soup and still have room for cookies. 🙂

Favorite Gift Ideas under $5: 75+ Gift Ideas!  Just in case you’re looking for some great last-minute gifts, this list is here to help.

Favorite DressingAvocado Poppy Seed Dressing.  When I’m not eating shameful amounts of mac & cheese for lunch, I try to eat salads.  My leafy greens have been searching for a great dressing like this to be smothered in.

Favorite Wreath: Rosemary Wreath.  Rosemary wreaths could be used as decorations, place settings for the table, or to fancy up the outside of a wrapped package.  Think of the possibilities!

Favorite Pigs: Pigs in a Blanket Holiday Wreath.  I love to look at the wreath above, but I’d love to eat this one here…

Favorite Funny: 18 Things Only Midwesterners Understand About Winter.  So true, all of this is true.

Before I go, here’s what my bump is up to this week.  Pregnant, indeed.
