Friday Favorites

Remember last Friday when I promised you would be seeing some St. Patrick’s Day recipes posted this week?  Yeah, I failed miserably.  Please don’t fire me from my own blog.  I grossly underestimated how bad corporate tax week can be.  The good news is, I have 2 recipes coming your way in the next few days!  So keep me around. 🙂

As crazy as this week was, I’m sure happy that I can finally see that tax season is more than half over!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  Please enjoy my favorite things from around the web in this week’s Friday Favorites!  You may sense a theme….

Favorite Sliders: Corned Beef Hash Sliders.  Corned beef and hash in slider form?  Ummm, I’ll eat all of them.  Please and thank you.

Favorite Shamrock: What’s better than a shamrock, you ask?  A shamrock with chocolate.  This would be a fun little gift!

Favorite Bread: Irish Soda Bread.  This recipe is on my baking agenda this weekend!  I promise.

Favorite Sign: Sooooooo true. 🙂

Favorite Stew: Beef and Irish Stout Stew.  Can you say “yummmmmm?”  Yummmmmm.

Favorite Shirt: Shrunken Boyfriend Green Gingham Shirt from Gap.  I love me some gingham!

Favorite Dunkers: Shamrock Shaped Snack Crisps.  Pie dough or puff pastry cut out into shamrocks and topped with Parm and parsley.  What a great idea!

Favorite Gifts: Skittles and Rolos in bottles.  Easy, cute, and tastes like the rainbow….all great qualities in a gift.

Favorite Cake: Kerry Apple Cake.  This is a traditional Irish cake that a has a crunchy top with a moist inside.  I’d love to make this in a cast iron pot!

Favorite Sippers: Shamrock Straw Toppers.  Since I love using straws 93% of the time, I’d love to jazz them up with shamrocks. 🙂

Favorite Meal: Irish Bangers and Mash.  We had a similar feast last St. Patrick’s Day and I’ve been dreaming of this meal since then.  So.  Good.

Favorite Wreath: I have a real obsession with wreaths for some odd reason.  But don’t you agree that this one is fun?

Favorite Appetizers: Reuben Style Potato Skins.  Up until a few years ago I thought I didn’t like Reubens because of the sauerkraut.  Of course, I’d never actually eaten a Reuben at that point.  Luckily I discovered that I actually like sauerkraut and love Reubens.  Must be in my Irish and German blood. 🙂  I’m loving this appetizer spin on the classic sandwich!

Favorite Nails: Festive green nails.  I’m ALWAYS looking for different ways to paint my nails.  Perhaps it’s because I stare at them while punching away on my calculator all day.

Favorite Cupcake: Rainbow Frosting Cupcakes.   That is a whole lotta cuteness in one cupcake.  Love, love, loooooovvvvee.

Favorite Place Setting Idea:  Twine, napkins, and a shamrock are all you need to make this simple and rustic place setting.  Just my style!

Favorite Funny: This has nothing to do with St. Patrick’s day, but I loved watching Justin Timberlake on SNL last weekend!  As always, he was a fantastic host!  He’s been on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (<—my favorite) all week, but I have yet to watch them.  They’re stored up on my DVR for some good laughs this weekend!

Happy Friday to you all!
